Let’s wait and see what the movie has in for us, if nothing else, it will definitely make us laugh.

The freaky doll from The Conjuring franchise got her own movie titled Annabelle in 2014. And now, Annabelle is back with a sequel. According to the filmmakers of the original movie, the sequel will revolve around the doll maker who created the scary doll, unwillingly exposing a group of orphans to her curse when he takes them in. The special effects of the movie, if the sources are to believed, are going to be something the franchise has never seen before. Another spinoff of the series The Nun is also scheduled to release in 2018.
The Hitman’s Bodyguard

While we are waiting for the sequel of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool sequel, the actor is gearing up for the release of his blockbuster The Hitman’s Bodyguard. Reynolds plays the titular bodyguard, while Samuel L. Jackson plays the hit-man. The film also stars Gary Oldman as the antagonist of the movie. So, as it turns out, the 2010 movie Saw 3D: The Final Chapter was not in fact the last round of the Jigsaw franchise. The ultimate punishment will be back for a new chapter later this year, however the details of the new movie are relatively scant. Directed by Michael and Peter Spierig, the movie will be a “reinvention” of the series, if the Hollywood Reporter is to be believed, which also reported that it will offer “a fresh take on the material that will establish a new storyline and new characters that can carry the saga into the future.” The new screenplay has been written by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, and will see the return of Dr Lawrence Gordon, played by Cary Elwes
Releasing November 3
The Thor: Ragnarok, starring Chris Hemsworth as the hammer-wielding god of thunder is scheduled for a release this November, before the release of another Marvel’s blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War. This schedule serves a purpose, as the Ragnarök movie’s plot revolves around an apocalyptic series of event in Norse mythology, which would result in the submergence of the world into water and deaths of several gods, including Odin, Thor, and Loki. However, the mythical event concludes with a planetary rebirth, so we can assume that our superhero will rise from it somewhat unscathed. The movie is the MCU debut of New Zealand filmmaker Taika Waititi, famous for his 2014 vampire mockumentary “What We Do in the Shadows”.
Releasing November 17
Warner Bros. and DC Comics’ big budget blockbuster with its all-star superhero team is set for release later this year. Directed by Zack Snyder, the movie stars the studio’s pre-existing franchises cast members, including Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, and Henry Cavill, as Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman, respectively. Other superheroes include Jason Momoa in the role of Aquaman, and Ray Fisher as Cyborg. A sequel for the movie has also been planned, and is scheduled for a 2019 release.
Star Wars: Episode VIII
Releasing December 15
As of now, whatever we know about the movie Star Wars Episode VIII, releasing towards the end of this year, is awfully little. But we will tell you all of it nevertheless. The movie is being directed by Rian Johnson and stars some members of Episode VII’s cast, which includes Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, and Adam Driver, along with the new Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, who had finished filming for the film before her heart-breaking and unexpected death. As far as the movie’s plot is considered, it will follow the events of Episode VII, opposing the Resistance against the First Order led by Supreme Leader Snoke (played Andy Serkis) and his trainee Kylo Ren (played by Adam Driver).
